008. An International Master loses rook like a beginner in 10th Parsvnath International Open Tournament

Human chess play standards are definitely on the decline
I really do not want to embarrass anybody in my life. I could not have proceeded without mentioning the name of the International Master S.Nitin who belongs to my home town Salem, India. In fact, I have never spoken with him. I always keep a low profile or zero profile with chess people hereabouts. The images were uploaded to establish the real fact. Otherwise, people would think that I am bluffing saying an IM lost a rook like a beginner in an International Open tournament. I was there looking at the game because I was in New Delhi to attend FIDE Trainer Seminar 2012 at Punjab Bhawan to get the Trainer licence. At the same time, this tournament was also held at Ludlow Sports Castle complex. I used to go there after the seminar in evenings.
My home town to my knowledge has produced 2 International Masters and 1 Grand Master.
To my surprise, I saw both International Masters Konguvel and Nitin from Salem were playing in the tournament. So I was seeing the board between Bai Jinshi, from China and the IM. At that time, Bai Jinshi's rating was only 2200+ (there were placards placed with player name and rating on every board) but now he has become an IM it seems. The position where the IM was about to lose his rook can be clearly seen by anyone. I saw he was concentrating on the king side. I thought maybe he is thinking a combination of moves after he moved the rook to a safe square. To my dismay, he touched the rook on his king side and move it to king side. I was aghast. Thenafter he saw queen side and that the knight about to capture the rook. He became fearful. That fellow wasted no time and captured the rook immediately.
